Day Crying Tips - Imagine Having Fun with Your Baby
Imagine Having Fun with Your Baby
Spending time with your baby is one of the most precious moments in life. Cherish every moment. Much sooner than you think, this baby is going to grow into a toddler and then a child; spending time with her then will be wonderful, but she's not going to be a baby anymore. You're going to miss those cuddling, warm, lovable moments with your baby.
But sometimes you stop yourself in the middle of the day asking: what's going on here? You feel that most of the time you're busy with maintenance - food, diapers, bath - and on the rest of the time, you need to handle her crying too much... what's wrong? Well, nothing wrong. Babies cry, for many reasons, as part of their communications with you. If you still haven't read the Why Babies Cry page, I invite you to do so. It could help. After you understand the reasons your baby might cry, you should proceed to what you can do about it...
A Tip A Day
As with all the tips in this Crying Baby Tips website, you are invited
to read one tip a day. Taking up more than that on three hours of sleep
a night doesn't seem logical. So, take one tip and come back tomorrow.
Also, to help you file those tips in your sleep deprived brain, I named
them with an effort to become more handy and perhaps bring a smile to
face...
When you're done with your day time, I invite you to browse through the Night Crying Baby Tips. I hope it will give you some ideas to smooth out your baby's night. And yours.
Day Crying Baby Tips
Maggie Simpson Dummy
According to Wikipedia, A pacifier, dummy, or soother is a rubber, plastic, or silicone nipple given to an infant or other young child to suck upon. According to Maggie Simpson, it's a fashion statement, a way of life. And to your baby? A dummy can be a real comfort in times of need. During the day your baby cries for many reasons (see the Why Babies Cry page). After you listen to the crying and understand the reason behind it, a very good way to help your baby calm down from crying and be open for the real solution, is let he suck on a dummy. For instance, if she needs a fresh diaper, she cries about it, you understand... but it could take a couple of minutes and your baby dosen't understand the delay. A dummy would help her relax while you get organized. And if you're afraid that your baby will end up with dummy forever like Maggie, consider the alternative. Without the dummy, your baby will soon discover her thumb as a soother, and getting rid of that habit is much more difficult.
